Swift Mark II Spotting Scope, c.1985

An excellent 15x-60x x 60mm Swift Mark II spotting scope.

Originally made for the civilian market, the British Army also used Swift scopes Mark II at their sniper training school. When issued, the scopes were generally unmarked, although sources state that when new, some had paper labels stuck to them bearing NATO stock numbers. They were highly sought after, as they were very different to previous spotter scopes offering a zoom feature from 15x - 60x magnification.

Presented in excellent and clean condition, the coated optics are spotless and provide the viewer with sharp and bright images over long distances. Thanks to its design the focus and magnification wheels can be operated smoothly allowing the telescope to be handheld, however, this one also benefits from having a sturdy tripod stand.

A superb outfit for the target shooter.
