CWC W10 Military Wristwatch

An excellent mechanical military watch from CWC, dating from 1980.

The CWC watch brand was established in 1972 in response to the closure of Hamilton, UK, to ensure that the military continued to receive these W10 watches. This example is in working order, serviced in the past 12 months. It looks terrific, appearing to have seen only careful service wear, resulting in a collector-grade timepiece with a pleasing age patina. The 1980 issue date suggests that it was one of the last batches of mechanical wristwatches to be received by the military before quartz.

These genuine W10 mechanical watches are getting harder to find in decent condition. It is not a modern copy. It is sold with a grey NATO strap.
