Ranger High Power Pancratic Telescope, c.1940

This is an excellent and near-fine example of a wartime-era 35 - 55x zoom telescope by Enbeeco. Otherwise known as N.B. Co., Newbold, Bulford & Co. Ltd. changed their name during the war years. However, they were the makers of this telescope, which features what is known as a Pancratic Tube. This serves to magnify the image significantly over typical scopes of this size. Fully extended, the scope measures 70 cm, which was marketed as the "Ranger". It is in excellent original condition, retaining much of the black oxide finish, as well as its protective canvas case.

A very nice outfit.
