WW2 Cortebert British Army ATP Wristwatch

A good example of a WW2 British Army wristwatch. These Army Trade Pattern watches, or as my father and his REME friends would tell me, "Army Timepieces", were seemingly available in much smaller numbers than the ubiquitous GSTP pocket watch.

Presented in working order, this Cortebert watch retains original ancillary parts, including the winder, that are often replaced. This suggests the watch was looked after, as the steel factory case finishing is still evident. Even the movement has its additional protective cover, which is often lost. On the back of the screw back, the military property marks and issue numbers have never been polished. The fixed lugs are straight but are now sporting a new period pattern leather strap.

Good to use or display. Watch servicing is offered for our customers.
