Early Ingersoll Midget Watch
The Ingersoll Midget was a small pendant watch, originally designed to be worn on the wrist by means of a special leather wrist strap. These were popular with soldiers but alternatively, the Midget was also favoured as a lady's fob watch, often chosen to be a nurse's timepiece. Either way, many Ingersoll watches, known as "Dollar Watches", saw service because of their inexpensive cost.
Identical to earlier Ingersoll watches, this Midget was made c.1924, as denoted by the patent dates found on the movement. it is in running order and working well, keeping time.
A charming example for the male or female reenactor with a little wear line on the back, possibly caused by historic use on a wrist strap.
