WW2 TP/WT Ingersoll Watch
A rare WW2 issue Ingersoll radio operator's watch with the dial bearing the Temporary Pattern Wireless Telegraphy mark.
Presented in good original condition, the watch is in full working order and keeping time. They never had a bow, as the neck of these watches was intended to fit into a special holder mounted to the radio. The strong magnetic field associated with the use of the radio had no effect on these Ingersolls as the materials used in their construction were largely non-magnetic.
As these simple watches were made in the USA, they were inexpensive and easy to acquire, seeing many issued within the East Asia Command and the Pacific theatre.
