Early WW2 German Army ARSA Pocket Watch, c.1939

WW2 German Army issue Edo pocket watch by ARSA (Auguste Reymond Société Anonyme). Potentially procured in 1938, these very early wartime watches frequently bore no military details, but these Edo watches are well-known to historians as being contracted to the Deutsche Heer. As such, they feature a hermetic case with a three-slot screw on back, an inner antimagnetic dust cover and a shock-protected balance that was only invented in 1938.

Presented in working order and keeping good time, this military watch is in superb condition. The chain that came with the watch is typical of those found in Europe at the time and may well be an original period addition to the watch.

Sold in working order; however, should this watch require further attention in the 12 months after purchase, it is subject to our free servicing and adjustment warranty.
