Civil Aviation Authority World Time Clock
An unusual Lorus Quartz clock promoting the union between CAA and NATS. A nice example of British aviation heritage, offered in good working order and clean condition.
The National Air Traffic Control Services were formed in 1962 to coordinate military and civil air traffic. In 1972, a newly established CAA became the new authority with overall control and so, they renamed their partner, NATS. Since then, the CAA and NATS have co existed but following changes in UK law in 2001, the CAA became the owners of NATS.
It is therefore likley that this world time clock dates to 2001.
Although this clock is fully working, it is not subject to my free servicing warranty.
