Early Scout Whistle, c.1908
A very early tube whistle dating to the first years of the Boy Scouts, founded in 1907 by Lord Baden Powel. The earliest patterns were handmade and featured a one-piece solid brass cast top, which was succeeded in 1908 by a riveted lanyard loop.
Presented in good overall condition, this whistle, which is marked with the words "The Scout Patent", has age patina but no dents. A collector-grade example in working order.
