WW1 Sailor's Brass Teetotum

A WW1 solid brass teetotum spinner of scarce form, which features a polygonal spinner with the four suites and a Crown and Anchor. This is a version of what is known as "The Sailor's Game". An additional revolving section identifies the "odds" for gambling purposes.

Games like this were popular pastimes in the trenches but also in the Royal Navy.

The spinner is in excellent condition, with dark age patina and only minor wear.
