Tower Percussion Pistol, c.1842

A sleepy and iconic Tower Short Sea Service pistol, dated 1842, that retains clear Board of Ordnance and inspection markings throughout.

This pistol is in full working order and exhibits a lot of original character associated with Royal Navy weapons that have seen active service, possibly in the Crimea. The pleasing salt and pepper tone to the ironwork, as well as the darker wood patinas built up from historic active service handling by a Jack Tar, serve to make this pistol a great exmple of its type.
